Quote Book and Script (aka Why Speas is a Dumbass)

Ok. Everyone knows how I lost my quotebook and script at camp. If you didn't, now you do. I kicked myself for it all the rest of camp, b/c I had some FUNNY shit in that quotebook and script, etc.

Guess what?

I found them. On the last day of camp. After the picnic. In my guitar case. They'd been there all along. I felt stupid. And I laughed.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo......now I am in the process of typing all sorts of funny stuff up on Word, but I NEED HELP!!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE SEND ME ALL THE FUNNY QUOTES YOU HAVE OR REMEMBER, OR JUST FUNNY STUFF THAT PEOPLE DID OR JUST SWEET AND WONDERFUL THINGS YOU WANT TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if you think people won't get it or I already have it, PLEASE send me stuff!!!!! When I'm done, I'll send it out to everyone to reminisce so wonderfully!!!!

Oh Nick, I relate....

Yeah, so school's been super boring for me too. Especially compared to YCTC! And being senior...it's not as exciting as I thought. Yet. And in other news, I haven't been able to sleep for like a week and a half, so it's been interesting going through the day on two hours of sleeep-yay! It's a making me crazy!

I miss you guys all the time! My new drama teacher is just not Doreen! :( And my house is os not Stu Hall, haha! Anyways, loving you all so muchly, and missing oyu too!

Oh yeah, there was a snake in our cafeteria today and some stupid kid stomped it's head. So now we have snake brains on our lunchroom floor. Welcome to the hick town I live in...

I miss our jokes! I was at dinner last night with some friends and one of 'em said something like have fun at school tomorrow, and I said "That i will." beat.....you know how it goes and they didn't get it! And then this morning mom asked me to do something and i said "hokaye" and she just looked at me funny.


I miss you all and love you all, and my theatre class at school seems so boring now...

Since Brevity is the Soul of Wit...

Alright, since Ross posted something, I feel an obligation to do the same. Sadly, I have no sonnet (though all you 2005 vets may remember my Christmas sonnet e-mail), but, I do have something.

Well, it's not really anything. I just wanted to say that you are all giant piles of inexorable awesomeness, with a hint of lemon. Everyone I know who went to the shows is still talking about them. In fact, people have literally come up to me on the street and asked me about you guys. Someone wanted to know if Ross was really British (yes), if Amanda could really speak Welsh (no), if Natasha was actually an immense badass (um, yes), is Rick Blunt's name was really Rick Blunt (yes, most of the time), if Anna really had a moustache (god I hope not), and if Rin was really an alien (the jury is out, but I'll go with yes).

So, in brief, my local area is inflamed with YCTC love, and I have about 5 people who want to go next year. Also, I have a boring anecdote to share.

On my return, someone gave me the pleasant gift of a book, called Shakespeare Illustrated. I rather enjoyed skimming through it, but actually laughed a bit when I saw this picture (which I was able to locate on the internet, as you see):

It's the conscription scene, from HIV, Pt. 2, featuring, from right to left: Falstaff's Page, Falstaff, Shallow, Silence, Mouldy, Shadow, Wart, Feeble, Bullcalf, and Bardolph alias Laura, Speas, Me, Charlie, Zan, Francis, Natasha, Jack, Mary and Erika. I mainly thought it was funny that the people in the picture actually look a little tiny bit like us. Oh, I did laugh until my face looked like a wet cloak ill laid up...sort of.

So, that's about it, I suppose. Nothing infamatory or revolutionary, but still interesting. I hope I'll see you all soon - I suggest a group trip to Blackfriars' Othello in the fall, maybe during Thanksgiving Break or something. Get back to me on that.

Hey guys. I just wanted to drop a line to say hello.
GOOD NEWS : I'm all moved into my apartment !! And i'm soo psyched I'll be posting pictures soon :-)
Bad NEWS : SHINGLES IS BACK !!! I guess maybe moving in and stress at home etc. or just exhaustion WHATEVER.. has brought the demon disease BACK >.<
Anyway.
I hope school has started well for everyone. I'm excited to go back. I think you should all come down to see Othello, because i hear its FABULOUS !!!

Hi guys!

So speas, me and Kevin were talkin' and we want to plan a big YCTC reunion trip or someting where we all go see Othello. Kev said Blunt got to see a rehersal since he'll be in Chicago when it's playing, and that it was AWESOME! So c'mon guys, let's all go!

I miss camp and you guys and EVERYTHING so much. It was so weird being in my house...I kept walking into the kitchen expecting to see like 20 people getting breakfast...and there was just my dog. :) And no one gets my Shakespeare jokes either, so I just e-mail them to random YCTCers when I think of them.

Sadness...

This is Speas....I didn't think to put my name in the display name section, and I can't figure out how to change it....I'm dumb....but I'm SparkleBunny....and it makes me semi-happy....

But I am going through massive amounts of withdrawal, but with the continual reassurance that I will somehow get back up to Staunton to see Othello, and the Ren season...so if anyone is also planning a trip of some kind...LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!
